Old Love | Cooper, Corey-Flatau, Ihlang, and Pollesch
Duluth, MN, USA

Story:
As of a few years ago, the wayfarers that make up Old Love were scattered, working as river guides, field researchers, social workers, and mathematicians. For the last two years, however, this quartet has been diligently creating a style of music that is bringing something that feels both familiar and fresh to the Duluth scene.
Old Love’s songwriting is equal parts clever and sincere, Pollesch’s vocals moving from raw and vulnerable to playful and poetic. At their shows you can hear anything from stripped down finger-picked storytelling, to vibey builds driven by Ihlang’s drums and Corey-Flatau’s bass. Cooper’s mandolin is inventive and exceedingly adept, breezing between creating ambient soundscapes to a fitting place in the bright light.
Old Love’s debut album is slated for a summer 2026 release, but look for their first EP, ‘Subtle, Science’ to drop this spring.
– January 2026
